Despite his lovely grey coloring, Ryder's age is verified at only 5 years old! His beagle Mama was rescued by SEBR on 2/21/2020 and Ryder was born on 3/8/2020. Ryder also comes with a DNA test showing he is 52% Beagle. But the best thing about Ryder is his loving personality. He loves to snuggle, gives delicate kisses, takes treats gently and loves but scratches. Here's a little of Ryder's history. He was adopted as a very young puppy and was much loved, but years later when children came he had a difficult time adjusting to the change. Training support was sought but the methods and approach were substandard and ineffective. The situation became untenable when he bit the child. SEBR took Ryder back into the rescue and enrolled Ryder with our trusted trainers at Procyon Training in Ocala, FL where he did several weeks of Board and Train. He did excellent with obedience and socializing with other dogs. He is now in a foster home with a lot of other dogs, but he would do great as an only dog as well. Ryder LOVES to run and the joy on his face is apparent, so we'd like for him to have a fenced yard or at least regular opportunities to go to a dog park or somewhere where he can stretch those long legs. His house training is perfect. Ryder Is mostly very quiet but may bark or howl a bit if left alone. He is currently sleeping at night in a crate, but he does need edible rewards for crating. In his previous life he may have been crated a lot and so it is not his favorite place. Ryder is in great health and is ready for his sleepover now.
