ADOPTION PENDING

Duke is a dog who wants to devote himself to his human. Almost every single day either Duke's foster mom or foster dad says, "Duke is a really good dog!" - because he is! Please be sure to check out the video clip below. He is a well behaved, good looking fellow. Duke has been in his foster home for several months now and his disposition has been exemplary. Although he is definitely into lizards and squirrels his recall is amazingly good and he will run to you and sit down right in front of you. Most often he has a happy grin on his face. He also crates very well as long as there's a promise of at least a small treat for him when he goes in. His crate is where he has his meals and sleeps at night. House training has been excellent from day one. Duke is moderate energy but really needs a fenced yard and he could jump a 4 ft fence easily. He does like to run but also enjoys just lying about surveying his property and watching for the squirrels and lizards! He loves affection and, although he doesn't pester or beg for it, he's ready anytime you are! Duke is wonderful at just curling up next to you on the couch, content to be at your side. He has done well with numerous dogs in his foster home but does better with females and would be just fine as an only dog.
