About Chester III | |

Chester is a handsome hunk who loves to play with other dogs. He is currently in the same foster home as Snow (also with SouthEast Beagle Rescue) and they play together a LOT! When Chester first arrived he had a break in a bone just behind his hip. We took him to a specialist who advised that it would heal just fine on its own, and it did! He is quite lively and athletic. In his foster home, Chester uses a dog door to go out to a fenced yard when he has to potty and, although he does like to note his presence in a variety of places about the property, he is doing excellent at not marking in the house. Chester sleeps in his crate in the bedroom as do some of the other dogs, and he takes his meals in his crate as well. He does prefer it when the uncrated dogs settle down elsewhere though and not parade past his personal space. Chester is beginning some basic obedience training which we feel is important for him. He is very affectionate and is learning that with multiple dogs in the house he sometimes has to wait his turn. He has done fine with sharing toys and respecting the older dogs who want to be left alone. Chester would love to have a family to love and a doggy playmate or two!
