Gena, or GG Girl as her foster mom likes to call her, is quite the little independent pup. She spends a good part of her day shuffling her toys from one dog bed to another, and occasionally taking them outside for some fun. She really enjoys having another furry friend around to hang out with, so we hope perhaps she'll find a home where she has a buddy. Gena may be small at only 19 pounds, but she Is super confident with the bigger hounds in her foster home. In fact, when she wants them to play with her she can be a bit bossy. She’ll bark right in their faces, jump on them, and even give them a little nibble -- but they know she is just good naturedly asking for a romp. As far as cuddle time, Gena is always ready for belly rubs and kisses. At mealtime she is the first to line up. She does not exhibit any food aggression, but she also doesn't have any qualms about inspecting the other bowls around her. She loves to eat and never refuses a treat or additional kibble! She has had a thorough dental which included quite a few extractions, but clearly does not have any difficulty enjoying her food! Gena was heartworm positive but she has already been through her treatment and did extremely well. GG Girl is ready to be a treasure in someone's life!
